• About JAMES GIACIN

    A St. Louis, Missouri-based investment management executive with more than two decades of experience, James Giacin offers insurance asset and liability management solutions in addition to insurance mergers and acquisitions. James Giacin of St. Louis has managed a $150-billion insurance platform for multiple insurance companies, He is well-versed in tax and accounting regulations concerning the development of investment and financial products.

    Previously, Mr. Giacin served as principal at an insurance asset management firm, where he raised more than $6 billion in private credit and private equity investments and created a pair of structured products that led to risk-based capital, tax, and accounting benefits for insurers.

    Before his career in finance, he was a professional hockey player with the Peoria Rivermen of the IHL and head coach of the St. Louis Jr. Blues. He led the team to a Gold Cup Championship in 1994 and the USA Jr. B Nationals in 1994 and 1997. Moreover, he was a member of the inaugural class of USA Hockey Alumni in 2007. He played college hockey at St. Lawrence University and was drafted to the NHL by the Los Angeles Kings in 1989.
